HAQ: Centre for Child Rights will always be grateful to you for your unconditional support in everything we did, be it at the World Social Forum in Mumbai, the Asian Social Forum in Hyderabad, as Advisory Board Member of the Campaign against Child Trafficking (CACT), for the various Publications you launched for us and the most strenuous times of the Arya Anathalaya case. You stood by us and the children of this country at all times, bearing the brunt of personal assaults on several occasions.
As we bid you farewell from all the worldly woes, we want to tell you that you have a special place in our hearts and will always be remembered and cherished for who you were as much as for your contribution to humanity and the human rights of the most vulnerable sections of society.
May you rest in peace!

“Today, HAQ has come to be synonymous with child rights. In fact we can say HAQ means child rights! I have known HAQ’s work closely since I was part of the release function of their first status report at the Asian Social Forum in Hyderabad in 2004, and I have known Enakshi much longer. Since then I have been part of the Advisory panel of the Campaign Against Child Trafficking and have had the opportunity to work with Bharti and Enakshi, sharing a platform with them on many issues of common concern.”
