Sharmila Bhagat has been working in the education and social sector for more than thirty years. She is the Director of Ankur Society for Alternatives in Education, New Delhi. She has conceptualised and designed innovative pedagogical interventions for children, young people and communities in working class settlements of Delhi. She is a trainer in areas of children’s rights, pedagogy, and gender. She has facilitated collaborative research projects with reputed international universities on issues of urban marginalization.
