Budget for Children in Assam 2008-09 to 2013-14

The largest of the seven sisters in the north-eastern region of India, Assam known for its ethnic beauty and abundant resources has much more dumped into trash than is cherished. It has seen the worst form of political unrest, ethnic violence and natural calamities leaving the future generation of the region in the state of mental trauma, distress and left for forced labour. Enduring highest number of physical and sexual abuse, 41% of the total population of the state i.e. the children still await for their rights to be fulfilled and what government has in its hands for them in the form of budget is incomprehensible. This video takes us through the bare reality of the budget for children in Assam.
