NCPCR NOT AWARE OF DELHI HC DECISION?

Wednesday, 13 November 2013 | PNS | Ranchi | in Ranchi

The NCPCR seemed unaware of the decision of the Delhi High Court which quashed the appointment of Yogesh Dubey, a member of the commission. The commission which went ahead with its programme was surprised to learn about the development of November 9. “We have not received any communication in this regard. We cannot do anything unless we receive official communication on the judgment,” said Chairperson NCPCR, Kushal Singh. According to reports, president of Association for Development Raaj Mangal Prasad and HAQ Centre of Child Rights had filed a writ petition challenging appointment of Dubey and another member Vinod Tikku. Tikku questioned the intentions of the petitioner and said, “This is an act of poisoned mind and we will move court on the matter.”
