A teenage girl from South Delhi was allegedly raped by three acquaintances late Tuesday night in a car in the capital city.

According to the statement of the victim, a Std X student aged 16, she agreed to go along with three friends for a drive in Safdarjung around 7.30 pm on Tuesday. She was reportedly picked up by the accused in a white Hyundai Verna car and taken to a cinema hall's parking lot where they raped her and threatened her against telling anybody about the crime. She was reportedly offered a soft drink laced with sedatives before the crime was committed.

The three accused are reportedly residents of the Pillaunji settlement near Sarojini Nagar. They are aged between 20 and 22 years.

The victim was then dropped off some distance from her house in a semi-conscious state. She stumbled home where she broke down and related the incident to her family. A complaint was registered at the Safdarjung Enclave police station.
